I have been reading comics since before I could read. When I learned how to read, they became significantly better.

Deadpool opened in cinemas to massive success and within hours, the Internet was filled with videos and articles about all the Easter Eggs that could be found in the film. One Easter Egg in particular is missed out on though, and I'm here to address that.

Obviously, Mild Spoilers for 'Deadpool' Will Follow

There were so many Easter Eggs and hints to the future in the film that missing out on one could be understandable, but this one could mean big things for the franchise.

The scene in question is when Deadpool is designing his suit and his first design is this:

Before designing the basic Deadpool costume:

And then finally creating the actual costume.

The fact is that this second costume is a basic costume, which develops immensely to create his final costume, while if the first costume was developed a bit more, you'd be looking at someone like this:

That's right!

For those not in the know, Fantomex is Weapon XIII in the Weapon Plus program. Of course, Weapon X included such individuals as Deadpool and Wolverine, and in the comics, Captain America is Weapon I. Fantomex specializes in illusions and acrobatic skills and has recently served alongside Deadpool in X-Force:

His character's popularity eventually spun off into a female version, Fantomelle.

So What Does This Mean?

Aside from a reference to a comic book character closely associated with Deadpool, this could mean that X-Force, or at least part of X-Force is a plan for the future. Further proof is the addition of both Archangel and Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse and Cable in Deadpool 2.

So, Is X-Force coming to the Fox Marvel universe finally? Will they form in Deadpool 2? Did anyone else notice the Fantomex reference? Was it even a Fantomex reference? If it was, do you think it was just a reference, or does it mean something? Let's talk about it in the comments.

Thanks for reading!
