It's a tough old world out there for conservatives.
Or at least it is for Caitlyn Jenner who says she gets way more 'flak' for being a Republican than she does for being transgender.
Speaking at the University of Pennsylvania, Jenner gave this response when asked why she wasn't a Democrat – given the party's support for transgender rights,
“I have gotten more flak for being a conservative Republican than I have for being trans.”
While I'm tempted to get out my tiny violin and start playing, it is worth noting that (as Buzz Bissinger pointed out), a person's core beliefs don't change just because their gender does.
One thing the reality star has softened on however is her approval of same-sex marriage. When challenged on her believes during an interview with Ellen Degeneres back in September she said,
"At first I was not for it... but as time has gone, I think, like a lot of people on this issue, have really changed their thinking here to, 'I don't ever want to stand in front of anybody's happiness,' you know? That's not my job."
