In an industry that is often dictated by viewing figures and popularity, it's refreshing to see the acclaimed series, Orphan Black, returning for a fourth season.
And that isn't to suggest, by any means, that its continuation is surprising on a creative level. There's no doubt the show is a hidden gem, with a modest yet fervent number of viewers.
One Actress, Many Faces
Tatiana Maslany has one of the most challenging roles on TV by playing numerous clones, each with their own distinguished idiosyncrasies and intricacies. It's a role (or ten) that has previously earned her an Emmy nomination.

'A Horrifying New Direction'
In season 4, the clone ranger Sarah will return from Iceland to track down the enigmatic ally who has links to Beth Childs, the clone who spawned the rest. The official synopsis for the ten part series is as follows:
"Sarah will follow Beth’s footsteps into a dangerous relationship with a potent new enemy, heading in a horrifying new direction. Under constant pressure to protect the sisterhood and keep everyone safe, Sarah’s old habits begin to resurface. As the close-knit sisters are pulled in disparate directions, Sarah finds herself estranged from the loving relationships that changed her for the better."
Oh and if that wasn't enough, true to the shows theme, there is even more promotional goodies to feast your eyes on. Check out another teaser below:
Filming will begin in March this year, with the show being released on BBC America in Spring 2016.
