Not a lot of people like Nicolas Cage's portrayal of Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider, I for one enjoyed him as the fiery rider of doom, especially in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, which seemed quite a bit more awesome than the first.

On May 2, 2013, Kevin Feige confirmed in an interview that the Ghost Rider and Punisher rights had reverted to Marvel from Sony and Lions Gate respectively, as well as reaffirmed the acquisition of the Blade rights. It was later revealed in May 2013 that Marvel has also reacquired the rights to Luke Cage from Sony.

Sadly, if you liked those Ghost Rider films, we'll not be getting a third installment. Hopefully the Rider will appear in a Netflix show, and they better not wimp out on how dark it can be, like Daredevil and Jessica Jones. (Note: Those shows are good, I just wish they were darker.) Besides looking pretty cool in flames, each of these actors are very talented, and deserve a pretty bad-ass role like this. Below are 6 actors who would make a great Ghost Rider!

1. Charlie Hunnam

Charlie isn't new to the whole motorcycle thing. For 6 years, the 35-year-old actor has been riding a bike in the popular, now over, television show Sons of Anarchy. (If you haven't seen it, DO SO NOW!) He appeared in two of Guillermo del Toro's films, Pacific Rim and Crimson Peak. He'll also portray King Arthur in next year's Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur.

2. Travis Fimmel

Anything that Charlie Hunnam would be good in, so would Travis Fimmel; they look so much alike! The 36-year-old has been playing Ragnar Lothbrok in the popular show Vikings, he costarred alongside Patrick Swayze in The Beast, and he'll be in Warcraft.

3. Simon Baker

The 46-year-old actor is best known for playing Patrick Jane in the CBS show The Mentalist. He's also appeared in many films, the more notable being The Devil Wears Prada, Land of the Dead, Not Forgotten, and L.A. Confidential.

4. Tom Hardy

Tom Hardy, 38, became a household name when he portrayed Bane in 2012's The Dark Knight Rises and broke Batman's back. His other hit movies include the recent The Revenant, Legend, Mad Max: Fury Road, and 2011's Warrior.

5. Karl Urban

Mr. Urban is one of those actors who'd make a great Bruce Wayne for instance. The 34-year-old is best know for playing Leonard McCoy in the newer Star Trek films, and will again reprise that role in Star Trek Beyond. Some of his other great work includes Dredd, The Lord of the Rings, and Riddick.

6. Ryan Gosling

Gosling, who's 35, is best known for The Notebook, Drive, the recent The Big Short, Gangster Squad, and many many other great movies.
