I have had a lifelong love affair with characters who are the masters of sassy, self-aware hilarity, and I think we can all agree that Deadpool fits that bill perfectly. Before seeing the film, my feelings about Ryan Reynolds being cast as the lead in Deadpool were a little shaky, to say the least. (Come on. We all saw Green Lantern.) However, after seeing the film, I can honestly state that I don't think anyone could have done Deadpool as well as Reynolds did in this film.

Reynolds did a fantastic job of breaking the 4th wall in the fantastically sassy way Deadpool always does! When he spoke, he embodied everything I've always felt Deadpool to be.

To those of you who are raging at Deadpool being rated R, and who wanted it to be a "family-friendly" film, I hate to burst your bubble, but Deadpool's character just doesn't work in the "family-friendly" realm. Take the time to read some of the Deadpool comics and you'll see what I mean.

This movie and its droves of easter eggs were nothing short of delightful, and I will probably see it in theaters several more times! Trust me, it's worth it.
