The world of gaming has brought us a varied mix of emotions. From tears to laughter, video games have truly changed the face of the world. Because of the vast amount of attention video games have received it is no surprise that many companies have begun to bring the concept of taking these life changing games to the silver screen.

1. 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' (January 2017)

Milla Jovovich is back as Alice and is better than ever! The Resident Evil Franchise has been creating a fanbase since its first game release in 1996, then with its first movie release in 2002, it's only gotten stronger. Now the franchise is strong, and with this next upcoming title, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, it will finally bring a close to the movie franchise, with an expected release in 2017, we'll be waiting!

2. 'Ratchet & Clank' (April 29, 2016)

The Lombax, Ratchet, and his faithful companion are back. The famous duo have traveled the galaxy and are now making their way to the big screen! The film will retell the tale of Ratchet and Clank, showing how they met and their attempt to save the world. Scheduled to release in April of this year, the premiere is just around the corner!

3. 'Assassin's Creed' (Dec. 21, 2016)

The well-known franchise, Assassin's Creed, has been well loved, and now it'll be making its way to a theater near you. Following the life of Callum Lynch, a descendant of a 15th century assassin, Aguilar. Callum will then discover the truth about Templars and their effect on the real world. Scheduled to release in December of this year, I'm more than certain this will be a global hit.

4. Sly Cooper

Sly Cooper is an orphaned raccoon who uncovers a secret. His family comes from a long line of talented and skilled thieves, and this leads to him and his childhood friends, Bentley and Murray, to go out and uncover the truth, before the evil Clockwerk gets his fiendish hands on it. Set to release early 2017, Sly Cooper is a mix of cartoon noir and wonderful animation.

5. 'Warcraft' (June 10, 2016)

Based on the popular MMO, little is known about the film besides its basic plot; orcs and humans in combat in the fantasy world of Azeroth. Set to hist theaters June 10, 2016, Warcraft will be a summer hit.

Whether you're an avid gamer or just a rookie, you're bound to love at least one of these films.
