The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 3 beings in May with the release of Captain America: Civil War. This thirteenth entry will be a huge suspense thriller bringing most of the MCU's best heroes back to the silver screen. New characters, such as Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland), will be joining the likes of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) before getting their own feature length films. Also, the film will be setting up events leading up to The Avengers: Infinity War in 2018.

Their has only been one official trailer that was released for the film which was late last year. Disney's marketing group are now getting into full gear, and are bringing out great ads such as the Super Bowl 50 TV spot earlier this month and the Coca-Cola commercial which featured the Hulk chasing after Ant-Man for a special Coke Mini can edition that followed after. Soon after, Marvel even created special Civil War emojis, and created a contest for fans to win and get a chance to film a non-speaking role in Infinity War on Twitter.

Both Cap and Iron Man gracing the cover of Empire was the most recent promotional push from Marvel. The cover shows Captain America and Iron Man battling it out; both are matched and sparks are flying. This image is most recognizable to comic book fans because it's the iconic image from Marvel comics' 2006-2007 Civil War event series. This Empire cover is recreating the cover of Civil War #7, and the final issue of the series, drawn by Steve McNiven.

This Empire cover shows what fans are expecting to see, both heroes facing off with one coming out on top. This cover is perfect to and to get draw readers in ready for the films release in May.
