Every horror fan has a favorite Jason Voorhees kill; an especially barbaric execution that tops all others on the personal wince-o-meter scale. The question on the minds of everyone anxiously waiting for Friday the 13th: The Game is: will I be able to perform that favored finisher on my helpless friends?

Well, if you remember this iconic scene from Friday the 13th Part VII, in which the hockey-masked killer gets creative with a sleeping bag, then you might be in luck:

The developers took to Twitter to confirm that this grisly kill will be recreated in the game:

It's heartening to see the dedication the developers have shown in honoring the films, ensuring that this isn't your lazy run-of-the-mill adaptation.

Not only have they hired veteran actor Kane Hodder to provide mocap for Jason, they've also gone so far as to meticulously model in game assets using the original movie props:

Developer Gun Media promises an appropriately nightmarish experience when the game launches in October 2016:

Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer title where one player controls Jason Voorhees while the remaining seven control camp counselors trying to survive the night.

Which kill from the movies do you want to see in the game?
