I don't know if you heard, but Deadpool did pretty well at the box office, racking in over $49 million at the global box office.
The R-rated superhero movie has already stuffed a load of records under its belt but now it can add another to the collection: Deadpool is now the highest grossing X-Men movie at the domestic box office.
Currently, Deadpool has made $235 million in North America, pushing it ahead of The Last Stand's $234 million and Days of Future Past's $233 million domestic hauls. Internationally it is also performing well, with it currently sitting in second place behind X-Men: Days of Future Past's $747.8 million.
Compared to the other records, this one is slightly more debatable (for example, should Deadpool really be called an X-Men movie?), but regardless the results show that Deadpool seems to be partly outperforming FOX's more central and traditional superhero group.
