After months of waiting and speculating, Sherlock and The Hobbit star Martin Freeman's role in the highly anticipated upcoming Marvel movie Captain America: Civil War has been revealed.
With theories ranging from him being Red Skull to Uncle Ben, it has come to light that he will actually be portraying the character of government official Everett Ross.
Empire Magazine has released an official still from the movie (seen above), as well as Freeman's role. Everett Ross will be a part of the Joint Counter Terrorist Center in the movie, probably dealing with the actions and effects of superhumans.
However, as some of you may be aware, Everett Ross has been a close ally of another popular character in the Marvel Universe, who, coincidentally, is also make a debut in this film.
That's right, the Black Panther himself. Everett Ross has acted as a supporter of Wakandan independence in the Marvel Universe, and has often accompanied T'Challa to many international conferences. It wouldn't be surprising to see him in the upcoming Black Panther solo movie in 2017.
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on April 27, 2016 (various international markets) and on May 6, 2016 (US).
