Today, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League director Zack Snyder posted a behind-the-scenes image on his Twitter account. What might appear to be a simple photo of the director with Aquaman, a.k.a Jason Momoa, has turned out to reveal much more.
First thing's first. Take a quick look at the photo in question. In addition to Momoa's goofy and infectious smile, we can see that the pair is standing among a number of superhero costumes.
Already a fascinating photo! But there's plenty more to be seen. Let's break things down a bit using our handy dandy little friend, the red circle.
Mera Concept Art
Here's what seems to be a quick look at the Queen Of Atlantis — and Aquaman's love interest — Mera.
The Flash's Suit
We've seen quick (hah) teasers of the character's costume before, but this sneak peek looks like the real deal.
Aquaman's New Look
A bit different than the Aquaman suits we've seen in earlier promotional materials. What do you guys think of the change?
A New Batsuit?
I guess this could be a number of characters, but when we hear "Justice League," the only one who comes to mind is Batman. Thankfully, there are no batnipples in sight.
Well, there's really no mistaking that iconic hood.
A Curious Costume
Alright, here's where I'm hoping you guys can help me out as I'm not a seasoned veteran of the DC Universe. What the heck is going on with this costume? Is there a character in the DCU who is known for being gagged? Please let me know in the comments section.
Knowing how tight-lipped the cast and crew of superhero movies can be, chances are Snyder is well aware exactly how much he revealed in this photo. Luckily for us, it was just enough to whet our appetites for DC's action-packed slate.
The first 'Justice League' movie is set to start filming on April 11, and will be released in theaters on November 17, 2017.
Did you see anything in the photo that we missed? Be sure to let us know in the comments section!
