For those of a certain generation, '90s television wasn't only the pinnacle of entertainment, it was the pinnacle of life.

Now, this might sound like an exaggeration, but becoming intertwined and lost in imagination is one of the best things about being a kid. I know for me personally, I actually thought one day I could be a Power Ranger. Seriously. I still get goosebumps watching the below intro.

It's hard to believe Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the original show (and, in my opinion, the best), was released waaay back in 1993. A lot of time has passed, but what are the crew up to now?

1. David Yost (The Blue Ranger - Billy Cranston)

Age then: 24

Age now: 47

What has he been up to? Yost's tenure as an ass kicking Ranger ended on a bad note after he quit due to alleged homophobic abuse from those on set.

By channelling the bad experience into something positive, he is now a vocal advocate for gay rights, including the No H8 campaign. Yost has also gone on to become a successful actor and producer.

2. Jason David Frank (The Green/White Ranger - Tommy Oliver)

Age then: 20

Age now: 42

What has he been up to? Frank has gone on to become a staple character in the Power Rangers franchise; his most recent appearance was in 2014's Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

I've got an inkling he's into MMA

When he's not being a badass on screen, he's being ever more badass off it. Frank is also an MMA fighter, where he remains unbeaten.

3. Austin St. John (The Red Ranger - Jason Lee Scott)

Age then: 19

Age now: 41

What has he been up to? Since leaving the show mid-way through the second season due to a pay dispute, Austin has written a book on karate, and is a black belt in judo. Oh, and he's still a hero – he works as a firefighter and EMT in Washington DC.

4. Amy Jo Johnson (The Pink Ranger - Kimberly Ann Hart)

Age then: 23

Age now: 45

What has she been up to? Johnson managed to continue her acting career from '90s starlet to success in the 2000s, most notably with the leading role in Flashpoint between 2008-2012. She's also appeared in numerous films as well as producing her own.

Johnson is also a keen musician, and has released three albums. Two of her songs were featured in Flashpoint.

5. Walter Emanuel Jones (The Black Ranger - Zack Taylor)

Age then: 23

Age now: 45

What has he been up to? Jones has remained in the industry, with notable roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Space Cases and The Shield.

On the show, Jones was the voice of numerous villains, and has continued to find success with his voice acting career, including appearances in the video game Red Dead Redemption and the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.

6. Thuy Trang (The Yellow Ranger - Trini Kwan)

Age then: 20

Unfortunately, the article will end on a sad note, as Thuy Trang tragically died in a car accident in 2001, aged just 27.

Her Power Rangers co-stars, Amy Jo Johnson, Austin St. John, David Yost and Walter Emanuel Jones, attended her funeral in remembrance.

The 2001 TV series, Power Rangers Time Force, dedicated an episode to her memory.

Who was your favorite original Power Ranger?
