Australian-born actress Laura Brent has snagged the lead female role in the new CW series, Transylvania.
Set in 1880, the Chronicles Of Narnia: Voyage Of The Dawn Treader actress will play Victoria, the smart and spunky heroine who travels from New York City to Translyvania, trying to find her lost father. Along with an out-of-favor Scotland Yard detective, the pair will be present for the creation of some of the craziest monsters in history.
She's not the only Aussie girl making headlines lately. Perth native Adelaide Kane stars as Mary, Queen of Scots in the CW's other period drama, Reign. Rebecca Breeds just scored the title role in the NBC drama pilot Miranda’s Rights. Olivia DeJonge and Odessa Young are both set to star in TNT’s Will and Hulu’s When The Street Lights Go On, respectively.
