Anthony Mackie set the rumor mill on far recently when he stated that we would see Mark Ruffalo appear in [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409). If this is true, it completely goes against what we have all thought for months. We have all been under the impression that the next time we will see Mark Ruffalo go green is in Thor: Ragnarok. This may have been a huge mistake by Mackie or just a simple slip up, but Mackie appeared on The Tonight Show with Seth Myers and cleared his comments.
"I was giving respect to my fellow actors. I was saying Marvel movies are so great because they have great actors: the likes of Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr. And people take that to mean that I’m saying this is what the movie’s about and this is what’s in the movie."
Did Mackie Make A HUGE Mistake?
Mackie cleaned up his comments a bit and attempted to clarify what he meant, but something just doesn't seem right. If you take a look at the original comments Mackie made, he definitely seemed to connect Mark Rufallo to Civil War.
" I feel like the story is very concise and interesting, and you get to see Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans and Scarlett Johannson and Mark Ruffalo and everybody just do really, really good acting. And then there’s action in it."
It seems to me that Mackie tried to clean up his mistake. As of now it wouldn't surprise me if we see Hulk appear in Civil War at this point. If he does appear, whatever side he chooses definitely gets an upper hand. Just ask Thor, you won't like him when he is angry!
