Nowadays, we tend to not leave the theater until after the credits have rolled just to see if there is a little more of that movie goodness. Sometimes we sit all through the credits, some longer than 10 minutes, and...nothing. That always sucks doesn't it? Most think that Marvel was the first company to set the tone of the post-credits scenes, but it has been around since the 70s. The first EVER after-credits scene is from the film, All You Need Is Cash (1978). Some are better than others and others are worse than most, but below are 7 of the greatest post-credits scenes ever!
7. Dumb & Dumber To (2014)
The third installment of the Dumb and Dumber franchise didn't go over so well with fans of the original 1994 classic. But one of the best things the film had to offer was a tease for Dumb and Dumber For, which would have a release date of 2034, twenty years later...again. Can't wait to see what that one will be like!
6. 22 Jump Street (2014)
There is news that we're actually going to be getting a 23 Jump Street film, and thats pretty sweet. No news on what it's really going to be about, but my guess is medical school.
5. Crank (2006)
Just a fun, really cool thing the filmmakers decided to do...ultimately teasing the next film, Crank 2: High Voltage. Who wants a Crank 3? Jason Statham really wants to, and I'm for it!
4. The Avengers (2012)
The scene I was shooting for was the Shawarma one..but two are always better than one right? The scene was truly unexpected, and a pretty funny one at that.
3. Dawn of the Dead (2004)
The group gets on the boat and you think living out on the sea is just a breeze of happiness during the zombie Apocalypse...but we're totally wrong! From the scenes embedded in the credits, until we finally get to the end, we know that any where you go, it's not going to be paradise ever again.
2. Evil Dead (2013)
When Evil Dead first came out, it was supposed to be a remake of the originals, or so we thought. When the credits came to a close, one of the coolest things ever happened...All the films are connected and it was one of the greatest teases of all time...Ash vs Evil Dead!
1. Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
This end credits scene featured a cameo nobody had really expected: Howard the Duck. This was easily one of the coolest cameo appearances since Stan Lee's. Another awesome thing to see again was Cosmo the Spacedog, the telepathic Russian canine.
