I'm just a nerdy kid who learned to use the internet!

According to, we can expect The Force Awakens' DVD and Blu-Ray to be released this April. But that's not even the big news. The big story is the number of discs in the pack. They say we can expect:

  • 1 Blu-ray of the movie
  • 1 DVD featuring the movie
  • 1 iTunes digital copy of the movie
  • and... another Blu-ray with unspecified contents.

What will be on the mysterious third disk?! I think we can all agree that it's likely to contain bonus material. Like what? Here are 5 things we hope will be on the third disk.

1: Behind the Scenes Footage

We've had a few glances at footage behind the scenes, but now I think we all want a real look that gives us the feeling of making a Star Wars film. Let us see Daisy Ridley and Harrison Ford running their lines on set!

2: The Recording Session

The Star Wars YouTube channel recently released a short video showing the cast and director of the film working with John Williams on the score. It would be so cool to see more footage of JJ Abrams (director) working with Williams on the music for the film, and it would be especially cool to get to see more footage of the casts reactions to hearing their character's themes for the first time!

3: Concepts

I don't know about you, but I love seeing the original concepts for characters and settings when it comes to movies like TFA. I'd love to see the original drawings of BB-8 and Maz Kanata. Andy Serkis (who played Supreme Leader Snoke using motion capture) had worked with JJ on the character's design. I'd love to see JJ and Andy's very first concept of Snoke and what he looked like originally.

4: Interviews

Not only would it be cool to see interviews with the cast and JJ, I'd love to hear from the official story group. Disney created a story team that decides what will or won't happen in the Star Wars universe. Wouldn't it be cool to hear about their initial conversations with JJ and LucasFilm head Kathleen Kennedy about the story and drive of the film?

5: Deleted Scenes

The novelization of The Force Awakens revealed scenes that had to be cut from the film for the sake of giving it a reasonable running time. I'd love to see those scenes. What would be even better, would be a second version of the film with all of the original scenes replaced so we can watch it as originally intended!

When push comes to shove, this is just a rumor. Don't get too excited. If there will in fact, be a 3rd disk, what do you think it should contain? Tell us in the comments!
