Dark Souls 3 is on the horizon and Bandai Namco has just raised the hype with an absolutely stunning trailer for FromSoftware's upcoming sequel. Unusually, the trailer features a haunting song that underscores the brutality and bleak surroundings of what is to be the final installment in this beloved series.

The song playing in the trailer is 'True Colors' by Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg and made famous by Cyndi Lauper, which is performed here by Richie Kohan feat. Faux Fix. Are you excited for Dark Souls 3?

Do You Think 'Dark Souls 3' Will Surpass 'Bloodborne'?

Bloodborne: The Old Hunters

Looking back on 2015, I can't help but see FromSoftware's masterpiece Bloodborne as Game Of The Year. The art direction was masterful, the music captivating, the narrative intriguing, the graphics were beautiful and how the game took everything we loved about the Souls series and reinvented that gameplay was inspired.

I've played Bloodborne so many times now and I'm sure I'll be doing the same again for years. But I now think of this game more highly than I do Dark Souls, which I consider one of my favorite games of all time. Is Bloodborne the ultimate FromSoftware experience, or are you a fan of Dark Souls, Demon's Souls or perhaps [Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin](tag:2768294)?

Dark Souls 3 will get its release date for the XBOX One, and PC worldwide on April 12. How do you feel about this being the final installment in the Souls franchise? Personally, I'm going to be sad to see it go, but I have faith in Miyazaki and FromSoftware to continue to redefine the industry with remarkably challenging ideas.
