Receiving an Oscar can be one hell of a win in the career of an actor. There are so many actors out there that put out great work, that have not won the Oscar Trophy yet. I do still have hope that the nominations will help these guys out in the long run. It could be a bit discouraging, though considering Jennifer Lawerence who hasn't been in the business long and has been nominated four times and won once. These memorable actors listed below have not won an Oscar and I feel they should have already.

5. Harrison Ford

Can you believe it? Harrison Ford has not won a Oscar. Apparently his part in Indiana Jones and Star Wars wasn't enough for him to win an Oscar. Which he should've won in my opinion years ago! He was nominated one time for Best Actor in Witness in 1985...I mean really? 1985. He's come out with better work since then, and he didn't even win the Oscar, Ford lost to William Hurt.

4. Edward Norton

Edward Norton has been one of my all time favorite actors. If you wanna see someone do challenging parts in a movie, this is your guy. Norton was nominated for a Oscar three different times. In 1997, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Primal Fear, lost to Cuba Gooding for Jerry Maguire and nominated again in 1999 for Best Actor for his part in American History X, yet lost again to Roberto Benigni for Life is Beautiful. Then just last year in 2015 he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Birdman, and lost to J.K. Simmons who won it for Whiplash. Primal Fear and American History X are absolutely amazing movies, but I was surprised to not see Fight Club as a nomination. Maybe that's why you never see him in movies anymore.

3. Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. is absolutely amazing and has never won an Oscar. I feel like maybe his past keeps him from getting what he deserves. The way I look at it though is if Mel Gibson can be forgiven and win an Oscar then so can Robert Downey Jr. He has been nominated twice for an Oscar once in 1993 for Best Actor in Chaplin but lost to Al Pacino in Scent of a woman. Then nominated once more in 2009 for Best Supporting Actor in Tropic Thunder but lost to Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger was absolutely amazing in The Dark Knight, so I believe that was a fair loss.

2. Alan Rickman

The wound from Alan Rickman's departure is still fresh and many people will miss him dearly, which is why I feel it's important to add him to my list. Rickman has been in amazing movies such as; Harry Potter, Sweeny Todd, Die Hard and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Once you heard his voice you knew it was about to go down, never disappointing as the villain in most of his movies. The saddest part was that he never won an Oscar, not only did he not win an Oscar, he wasn't even nominated in the past. This was absolutely crazy to me to think, especially with how much he stood out.

1. Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp has never won an Oscar and he wasn't even nominated until 2004. We all know his absolutely amazing performances in movies like Edward Scissorhands, Cry Baby and What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Depp was nominated only three times in the past. In 2004 he was nominated for Best Actor in Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and lost to Sean Penn for Mystic River. He was then nominated in 2005 for Best Actor in Finding Neverland but lost to Jamie Foxx in Ray. Lastly, he was nominated in 2008 for what do you know, Best Actor again for Sweeny Todd and lost to Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood.

One of Hollywood's most well-known actors just won his first Oscar in 2014, that actor was Brad Pitt for 12 Years A Slave. Let's be honest these actors listed above don't need this award, their work is amazing regardless. I just wish they could win an Oscar. I know we've all been waiting for Leonard DiCaprio to win for years now. It just seems the most likely to win are people who haven't been on screen for long or people who aren't as well-known.

Who do you think is the most deserving of an Oscar?
