[Star Wars: Battlefront](tag:2684021) has really been rolling out the updates now as we move through the year, with the four Season Pass expansions confirmed up until early 2017.

Next month will see the rolling out of another multiplayer map for Endor, which will support the Walker Assault, Supremacy, and Turning Point modes. It will also bring another Tatooine Survival map to flesh out last month's January update, so its looking like Tatooine is gonna be getting some more attention as the year rolls on.

The next big expansion is set to land at an as yet unspecified time next month, though it's only been confirmed for Season Pass holders as they get two weeks early access to all expansion packs. Outer Rim will be the March expansion, so what do we know about it so far?

Say Hello To Sullust

Outer Rim will introduce players to the barren, volcanic, outer rim located planet of Sullust as seen in the [Star Wars: The Clone Wars](tag:200641) animated TV series. You'll be able to battle through Sullust's factories, in which the natives of the planet work.

Of course, Sullust is already a planet featured in Battlefront with the Sorosuub Complex levels but the factories (presumably those owned by the SoroSuub Corporation) will be a new addition.

Jabba The Hutt's Palace

The March expansion will also open up the palace of Jabba the Hutt upon Tatooine for battle, which is pretty exciting.

But this isn't our first shindig with the Hutt as Jabba's palace has been featured in the Battlefront series before. Again, we're not sure of the exact mechanics of the new map, but likely it'll play like an updated version of that of 2005's Star Wars: Battlefront II.

Expect secret passages and close quarters combat, but watch out for that Carbonite.

New Maps & Features

Season Pass holders can also expect to see new maps in the Outer Rim DLC, as well as new weapons, vehicles, and Star Cards for Rebels and Imperials. Likely the expansion will also introduce at least one new hero or villain, as well as a new game mode.

Again the specifics are still undefined, but the surprise package is all part of the fun. But most excitingly for those of us who have been playing the game for a while now, EA has said that Outer Rim will include a level cap increase.

March Free Update

Even though this month's free update rolled out a bunch of bug fixes over all platforms — such as the big issues with the A-Wing hit box — Star Wars: Battlefront is still far from perfect. March's update is expected to follow suit and sort out some issues players have noted with the game; such as the PS4 white pixel problem which EA is currently working on.

According to the EA Battlefront forums, they're also investigating a bunch of other issues as well as the white pixel glitch. Here's the run down:

  • PS4: CE-34787-0 crash
  • PC: static sound or missing sounds completely
  • All platforms: Misc connectivity issues
  • All platforms: Reticle for Ion Torpedo and Homing Shot not properly appearing
  • All platforms: Partner pairing and un-pairing mid match

Hopefully we'll see fixes for most, if not all, of these issues when the March free update lands sometime next month.
