Model Chrissy Tiegel has taken to Twitter to speak out against social media users who criticized her decision to use IVF treatment to choose the sex of her baby.
In a recent interview with People, Chrissy, who is married to soul singer John Legend, spoke of her "excitement" at the upcoming birth of their daughter. She also discussed the process of opting for a little girl. She said:
“I’ve made this decision. Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl.’ I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me."
Stop "Looking For Shit To Be Mad At"
However, she was disappointed to be on the receiving end of backlash, and let her followers know about it in a series of Tweets, explaining she felt some of the responses were "looking for shit to be mad at":
However, Chrissy Also Used The Opportunity To Demonstrate Her Sense Of Humor:
Teigen met singer John Legend in 2007, on the set of his music video 'Stereo.' The couple married in 2013, and Legend's song, 'All of Me,' was dedicated to her.
Since the couple announced they were expecting a child in October last year, the 30-year-old has been vocal about the IVF treatment she has received.
