For months we have heard rumors about Netflix's long awaited Iron Fist series either being turned to a film, or scrapped in it's entirety. This all came about due to the lack of development that has taken place for the show, mainly being the lack of casting for the series' titular character, Iron Fist. Well, according to multiple reports, we may now know who will be kicking his way into our Netflix queues.
This report is coming straight from ThatHashtagShow and they claim that the same source that informed them of Sling Shot's casting in Agent's of Shield revealed that Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell) has been cast as Iron Fist! Check out their full report below:
If there sources are correct, then this is definitely a big surprise and a casting that I'm not sure anyone saw coming!
Is Finn Jones The Right Choice For Iron Fist?
I must admit, I was very surprised when I first heard this news. When I think of the character of Danny Rand, Finn Jones is not someone who immediately comes to mind. After some careful thought however, I actually think this casting could work pretty well! Jones will definitely need to bulk up but I think he will fit in perfectly in the Marvel Netflix Universe. Him and Charlie Cox could definitely have some great on screen chemistry. Hopefully I am not wrong, Iron Fist is one of the most under rated characters in the Marvel Universe and one of my personal favorites.
Hopefully Finn Jones Kicks It Up A Notch!
I definitely want Finn Jones to succeed, he was excellent in Game of Thrones and I would love to see him carry that over to one of my favorite characters! Iron Fist will definitely be bad-ass and I can't wait to see what we have in store for us! Either way you "chop" it, it should be awesome!
