Possibly one of the best episodes yet, [DC's Legends of Tomorrow](tag:2937021) showed us that it can have those episodes like its predecessors (Arrow and The Flash) where it makes you have a pleasant time watching while having various nerd-gasms. Let's summarize the fantastic episode while speculating and talking about how awesome the episode really was.

Star City 2046

The team get themselves fastened in Star City, but not in the past but in the future, specifically 2046. It is a post-apocalyptic version of Star City. It was breathtaking to see little hints like the Smoak Technologies tower, the burned city streets, and the abandoned Arrow cave, that was just awesome to see and they did a spectacular job on that particular set.

A New Love Triangle?

We get to finally see some love triangles on the show. I was excepting something to spark between Ray and Sara like the show runners have hinted at, but it turns out the love triangle has to do with the other female on the ship: Kendra. It turns out that Jax has a crush on Kendra. It was funny when Professor Stein walks in and automatically knows as they share a psychic connection. When Ray and Kendra were flirting, Jax was getting frustrated which led to Stein getting angry. I love the relationship they keep setting up between the two.

Professor Stein wants to help so he tells Ray that he was flirting with Kendra. Stein subtly dissuades Ray from trying to "hook up" with Kendra as it would distract them from the mission. It actually turned out that sparked Ray's attention and led to him asking her out, which she responded with a no as she has a lot of stuff going on in her life right now. Turned out nobody really won in that situation but I thought it was a nice little segment and it was funny to see the way Professor Stein reacted and tried to help out, in which he kind of did because Jax wasn't the one that had to be rejected.

Snart and Rory Butt Heads

This may have been my favorite arc in the episode. Rory kills the leader of the gang and becomes their leader. This is what he has always wanted along with Snart but we finally get to see the good side of him kick in when he tells Rory to leave. Heatwave doesn't understand (he's the muscle, not the brain) why Captain Cold wants to go back for the team as he is his team. Snart came on the mission for selfish reasons but now is apart of the team and cares about the rest of the team and defeating Savage.

In the preview for the next episode, it looks like Rory goes a little berserk. He is the only character on the show who has not developed and has stayed at a constant. Snart was pointing a gun up to his head in the preview, could he be forced to kill Rory for the sake of the mission? I think that would really be a great twist and further develop the show as a whole. Whether the show runners are planning to kill another legend after Hawkman is questionable, but he was staying at a constant also. I am very curious where they are going to bring their relationship because if Rory does not die, it will be fascinating to see where his character ends up.

Meet 'Connor Hawke' a.k.a. John Diggle Jr. and Future Oliver Queen

When I saw Connor Hawke, I knew something was incredulous and it just didn't fit out with the show. It turns out that the show did what they have done on all the DC shows with characters and use the name as an easter egg. It turns out Connor Hawke is really Diggle's son, John Diggle Jr. Oliver disappeared and everyone thought he was dead and Diggle Jr. took up the mantle. When Oliver is talking to Sara, he reveals that everyone is gone: Diggle, Felicity, Laurel, Thea, Dt. Lance, all of them.

It also turns out that Slade Wilson died and his son took the Deathstroke mantle and took over the city, like his father tried to back in Season 2. Notice how they referred to it as the 'uprising' just like in Season 2, a nice easter egg right there.

All of this news upsets Sara and she wants to try and fix it, even though this may end up being an alternate timeline. Rip gets frustrated with Sara as he knows this is pointless to save them but she brings up a point about him wanting to change his timeline so bad. Now Sara and Rip can relate because in this timeline where Savage dominates, they have both lost people they care about and they will do anything in their power to make sure that this timeline will never exist.

Next Episode: Marooned (Episode 7) What to Expect:

Here is the preview for the upcoming episode:

Also, you can read the description for the episode as well:

PIRATE ATTACK – After receiving a distress call from another timeship stranded in space, Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides to answer the call in order to use the other ship’s computer to track Savage (guest star Casper Crump). The team is suspicious and warns him this could be a trap but he moves forward with his plan. Ultimately, the team was right and they have to battle time pirates. With most of the team captured, it is up to Professor Stein (Victor Garber) to rescue them all.

Tell me in the comments if you thought at that first music note in the preview was about to be the Force Awakens trailer music, that would have been golden! Anyways, I feel like the preview and the description describe two different episodes. The preview mainly focuses on the conflict I was describing before between Snart and Rory and how it is going to escalate. However, the description reads of space pirates capturing the crew and the episode focusing on Stein's ability to save his crew. As I said, I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two rogues and if the preview actually represented what the episode is actually going to be about, rather than being a false advertisement, I would really enjoy that episode. Hopefully it will be a mix of both the preview and the description because I'm pretty sure we have already seen Stein have to save the team. Oh wait, this time it is from space pirates, my bad.
