So you've got yourself a hot date tonight and you think hey, let's watch a movie! You get some popcorn and some nice candles and you think everything is perfect. Your hot date has arrived, the doorbell rings and you freeze! You forgot the movie! Never fear my friends, never again will you suffer such an unfortunate crisis. Here are 8 movies you can watch on your date. These movies are sure to spice things up, maybe even get you lucky!
1. DIE HARD.
No. I'm not even joking. If you want to come off as spontaneous and just downright badass, this is it. If your date doesn't immediately disrobe upon seeing Die Hard's title screen on, then you're on the wrong date! With this, you don't even need to pretend to be cool! John MF McClain does it all for you! This is a masterpiece! You can watch it on your wedding night! You'll be alert and excited, and what do those two words have in common? You guessed it. An increase in adrenaline. (And we all know what comes next wink wink)
2. Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World
This is probably the point where you've realized "this guy is nuts". Or that this list isn't going to be at all what you anticipated. Well take this as a lesson! Don't ever anticipate it! So you want to make a good impression. What better to show your date than a movie about love! Let's be honest, buried deep within the amazing visuals is a heart felt story of love. The ambition Scott has to prove that he's the one that belongs with Ramona, it's enough to bring a tear to a man's eye. Just one tear. One manly tear. Besides, it's entertaining and funny, and I promise your date won't be falling asleep on this one!
3. 50 First Dates
An Adam Sandler rom-com. Oh my the sound of that just spells disaster, yet surprisingly enough, it's a hilariously charming film. Plus if you're a guy and you want your lady friend to let loose some tears for you to come sweep in and rescue her...this is a good pick. Plus it helps you avoid the chick flicks if you don't enjoy those. Who knows, maybe your date will go so well that you'll get 49 more after!
4. Back To The Future
Much like Die Hard this film will quickly tell you if your date is worth it. A person that doesn't like Back To The Future has no soul and you should flee the scene immediately. Lock your doors and windows and get under a table. It's such a classic, respected film! When your date comes in expecting to see a cliche riddled cheesey romance movie, show them that you're better than that. Show them that you're willing to take this one step further and share this perfect movie watching experience! If you've got the resources, I suggest slapping this film on a projector and hopping in a car, old school drive-in style. What girl can resist charming nostalgia? Exactly.
6. Eyes Wide Shut
No date will compare to this one if you choose this film. Talk about attention grabbing! This film will provide your date with the perfect blend of ingredients to make it worthwhile. Two beautiful people with beautiful faces. Who wouldn't want to see Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman on screen together? More importantly, who wouldn't want to watch a Stanley Kubrick film on a first date? I don't know about you but the fastest way to my heart is respect for great film making.
7. Raiders of The Lost Ark
Fine, I admit it! These are totally 8 films that I'd watch on a date. But what sets the mood better than memorable music, whip wielding adventure, and action! This is sure to get your blood pumping, watching Indie kick ass and take names. If your date doesn't collapse on the floor wondering what came over them after seeing Harrison Ford do his thing, then are you sure you've found the right one? A perfect action/adventure is the way to go if you want to impress your date.
So you've tried the films listed above and your date just didn't go your way? Well time to sell out because if you can't make somebody fall in love with you after one viewing of Die Hard then there's no hope. Just take the short way, a hulking film that is sure to make your lady friend come to tears. There's just something about the chemistry between Leo and Kate that just gets people's emotions all mixed up. I don't know, but it works. That is of course if you have 3 hours and 14 minutes of your day that you want to give to this movie. Maybe it'll give you some time to reflect on your next move, or maybe the ending of this movie will drive your date straight into your arms. Romance is a crazy thing kids, don't underestimate the power of Titanic.
