Sometimes, one might find themselves wondering about this interesting curio of maniacs known as the Suicide Squad. Thoughts of confusion and accidental ignorance might fill your head when you hear their names, but you do know a few of them, and they bring warmth to your heart. When Harley Quinn beats someone over the head with a baseball bat, flips around in circles, and demands Joker's attention, you applaud, and when Deadshot ricochets a bullet off of six people, three walls, and a fire hydrant to hit one electrical panel on a wall across the way, you cheer. These characters are your favorites, and you've known them for years. However, has there ever been a time where had the thought, "Do I know everything about them?"

How much do you know about the Suicide Squad? Really? Obviously they're run by Amanda Waller, the team itself consists of convicts and super villains, there are incredibly dangerous and life threatening missions involved, and there are usually implantable bombs involved. Yeah, that sums it up. There's also the traditional roster of Deadshot, Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang, Rick Flag Jr, etc. Unfortunately, King Shark has been replaced with Killer Croc in this latest rendition of the team. That's also something you probably hadn't realized, and if you had:

Arkham City: Joker talking with Talia Al Ghul.

But there are certain things which are never discussed often enough. For instance, I bet you didn't know that the film will be released on the 50th anniversary of Cesar Romero's portrayal of the Joker from the original Batman television show (1966)? Eh? Clueless weren't ya? Here are some more interesting pieces of trivia.

1. Oracle debuted in Suicide Squad

Barbara Gordon as Oracle
Barbara Gordon as Oracle

I thought this was very interesting. After the brutalization of her character in The Killing Joke, Barbara came back as Oracle. However, her first appearance was in Suicide Squad, where she acted as a consultant and information broker. One might think they would have Barbara come back at a more sensitive or profound time. It would be easily thought that they would introduce the character when she was ready, but instead they sent her straight into the action.

2. Leto's version of the Joker appears to be just as messed up as Ledger's.

No, really think about it. The filming of Suicide Squad has been so strenuous an on-set therapist was hired. Jared Leto himself sent a rat to Margot Robbie, a dead hog to the whole crew and actual bullets to Will Smith. He also got into character by listening to old Gospel music, thinking about Mexican cartels and spending a lot of time alone. This is similar to Ledger's preparation for the role where he stayed in a hotel room by himself for a month. During this time, he kept a journal of his dragged thoughts. I can only hope that Leto will have the same tenacity.

3. Harley's creator approves of Margot Robbie.

First of all, I think Margot Robbie's portrayal is going to be fabulous, but there are those who are dissentious. However, for all of your informations, Paul Dini, the creator of Harley Quinn, had this to say:

"I found her look optimistic and promising."

So even if you do find Ms. Robbie's portrayal to be an abomination under Batman, her creator doesn't.

4. Warning: Most of the team will probably die.

The very first thing you have to always remember about the team is that they like to die. A lot. In fact most incarnations of the team that don't involve Deadshot, Ms. Quinn, or Rick Flag Jr tend to die off immediately - and in spectacularly stupid ways. Even the DC Animated Film Batman: Assault on Arkham held no remorse.

Rest in peace, King Shark.

Also, there have been many promotional images that suggest that Harley's death will occur. However, I won't dare tarnish this page's integrity with that image's presence, so you'll have to look it up yourself. Other possible deaths could include Enchantress, Diablo (unlikely), and Captain Boomerang.

5. The original team consisted of some very different characters.

World War II Arab Military Misfits. No super villains?! How could this be? As I pick myself up from the hypothetically abstract floor, I cannot help but wonder if they revised the group's roster out of boredom or just boredom. On the plus side, Rick Flag Jr was there, and if it weren't for this original group of weirdos we'd never have that character.

6. The film is bound to have references, allusions, and more.

Red and Black umbrella = YES

You see it's this right here that gets me particularly excited about the film- the subtle nods to things that the movie might bring. I mean, it's no doubt going to be chock-full of all kinds of references to other characters, the Batman Animated Series and Batman himself (who is actually said to be responsible for all the characters' imprisonments). This film is most likely going to be great, so I guess that's the last piece of trivia for you: The film will probably melt your mind, but as this is my opinion I cannot tell you that with absolute certainty.

I cannot wait to see the film and all its puckish and villainous humor. There are some things I did leave out, so if you have a particular interest in Suicide Squad trivia, the film and comics, then watch the videos below.

And for a lot of comic trivia:
