With Rogue One: A Star Wars Story being released next year and Star Wars fever being at an all-time high, think about the promise of Anthology films: standalone stories, with no sequels, focusing on smaller or bigger characters and settings, and focusing on any timeline, expanding the SW universe even further (maybe we get that Knights of the Old Republic movie someday).
Now, these are just 5 but i had a few more ideas, but 5 would do.
#1: Star Wars: Darth Vader
Afte reading the title of the first entry you're probably going "Greedo, but, mate, there has been a whole trilogy surrounding Anakin becoming Darth Vader, what the hell, mate?" Yeah, BECOMING Darth Vader, not BEING. While the OT served us to see Vader as the menacing man he is. But he's old as hell then. What about when he was younger and more menacing and more of a killer?
Well, there have been books and comic books about it, but the one i'd recommend you to read is the recent 'Vader Down' Marvel Comic Book by Jason Aaron (whom i really love as a writer) and is a good example of what this film should be.
Feeling regret for supposedly killing his pregnant wife, hunting down scum jedi, and taking over the galaxy witht the Emperor.
Now that would be one hell of a film, wouldn't it not, mate?
#2: Star Wars: Maul
You'd be lying if you weren't angry when a character like Darth Maul was killed off so goddamn cool and interesting! But were relived when he came back as an awesome badass in the Clone Wars TV Show!
And now, with him supposedly being confirmed for the again terrible Rebels, and in fear of him being screwed up there just like....bloody everyone!
Now, a younger Maul being an apprentice of Palpatine and being a kickass sith would be a hell of a film.
#3: Star Wars: Kenobi
Now, Ewan McGregor was perfect as Obi-Wan, when i hear the name Obi-Wan i think of Ewan McGregor, and not Alec Guiness, which is quite an achievement, considering Alec nailed the role so much.
And Read the book "Kenobi" by John Jackson Miller, to get a good idea of what a film with Obi Wan as a protagonist, and it's a great book! So read it, and imagine the prospect of an Obi Wan solo film.
#4: Star Wars: Underworld
If you're not familiar with the planned Lucasfilm TV Show Star Wars: Underworld, it was a project George Lucas was making and gathering top TV Sci-fi writers to write episodes, with over 50 Minutes and 100 scripts written, and would have been tough competition and a spectacle like Game Of Thrones.
'So what happened, Greedo?' you ask, right? Well, first of all, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EXPENSIVE AS HELL! But then, Disney bought Lucasfilm and the only reason this and the 1313 Boba Fett game aren't at your hands is because the projects were almost finished and they were adult as hell! And if Disney puts their name in those two things, it will make Disney supposedly look bad.
I dunno, but if they do, Disney will do something like this to the Lucasfilm crew.
#5: Obi Wan & Qui Gon: Jedi Knights
Now this is possible since Liam Neeson and McGregor haven't aged a single day, mate! The cream they're using is doing a good job!
Seeing more adventures from these jedi knights would be cool, and as much the Phantom Menace sucked, the opening scene with these two was pretty cool!
Anything can happen when it comes to anthology films, and anyone can get one, cause who thought a bunch of rebels would get a film in Rogue One?
This is probably the last post i do since for two days i'm leaving off for vacation, and next post is "5 Theories On Who Snoke Is" or something else, cause trust me, mate, i have a lot of unpublished, finished drafts of posts i can't wait to show you.
