So far, the WrestleMania card is looking good, but it still needs a shot of adrenaline. We know that there will be some major star power at The Show Of Shows, but the key is using those stars to their absolute fullest potential. Here are some suggestions.
Kevin Owens V AJ Styles
Owens vs Styles is currently booked for WWE's live event on March 25th at Madison Square Garden. WWE quite often book matches at house shows to see how fans react to potential feuds. If this is a sign that AJ will be challenging for the Intercontinental title at 'Mania, colour me happy. This match alone will sell the show to the entirety of the IWC, and all the smart marks who think they know better than the booking team. Owens and The Phenomenal One have each had long, storied careers on the indie scene, and they're perhaps WWE's two biggest gets in recent memory. They are also arguably WWE's two biggest talents of the modern era (NXT Superstars notwithstanding). If WWE wants to book this feud smartly, they need to spend the next 5 weeks making it very heated and very personal, to the point where the only way to settle it is with a ladder match. Owens and Styles in a ladder match for the IC title in which AJ walks away victorious with a true WrestleMania moment is going to get every single fan at AT&T Stadium on their feet.
Steve Austin as Special Guest Referee for Undertaker V Shane McMahon
Stone Cold has already confirmed that he's coming to the biggest WrestleMania ever (which just so happens to be in his home state). He's also said that he has no idea what his role at the show will be. Now that Shane McMahon is back to challenge his Father's ownership of WWE, it makes perfect sense for Austin to return and stick it to Vince one more time.
As amazing as he was (and probably still is) in the ring, there's no way anyone is buying that Shane could beat Undertaker in Hell In A Cell at WrestleMania. Not without a little help, anyway. Austin is the perfect guy to help Shane because his feud with Vince is possibly the greatest of all time, and it never hurts to see Austin down some Steveweisers and give everyone in sight a Stunner. Every single person will be on their feet the minute they hear the glass smash, and that always makes for one hell of a WrestleMania.
The Rock & Ronda Rousey in Reigns' Corner
Aside from Seth Rollins cashing in Money In The Bank, the image above was the standout highlight of WrestleMania 31. Seeing The Rock and Ronda freakin' Rousey kick The Authority's ass was a wonderful sight, and it was clearly setting something up for the future. As far as I can tell, not very many people are excited for the Roman Reigns/Triple H main event, and this could be the perfect way to add excitement and really get the match over. At this point, it's a given that Stephanie and Vince will be involved in the match in some capacity, so Roman is going to need a friend or two to even the odds. A few weeks ago this seemed like a near impossibility but now that Ronda is taking more time out of the UFC, it could be more likely than ever.
Give The New Day A Full Brass Band
Okay, this one might just be for my own personal enjoyment but I'm willing to bet good money that everyone would be ecstatic to see Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods being played to the ring by a full size brass band. All with unicorn horns, of course.
