One Batch, Two Batch, Penny And A Dime

After the years of agony and let downs from the Academy, Leonardo DiCaprio has finally received his Oscar! There have been plenty of times where he easily should have walked away with the award such as Whats Eating Gilbert Grape, The Wolf of Wall Street, Django Unchained and Titanic, but I see it fit that he won the award for being involved with The Revenant. The movie was easily my favorite film of the year and Leo definitely deserved this long awaited award.

After years and years of snubs, you would think that Leo would be a bit more braggadocios, but instead he was extremely humble and spoke on an issue that is a very serious one to our planet during his speech.

Leo Spoke On Climate Change During His Speech!

Personally, if I were Leonardo DiCaprio, I would be a bit sour for all of the snubs over my career, but Leo handled himself as only Leo could, as a true professional. Leo being such a down to Earth person, he decided to speak on a very dire and serious threat that is facing all of humanity, climate change

"Climate change is real, it is happening right now, it is the most urgent threat facing our entire speices and we need to work collectively and stop procrastinating. We need to support leaders around the world... who speak for all of humanity."

He used his immense platform to speak on an issue that is very near and dear to his heart. As a fellow environmentalist, I fully appreciated everything that he had to say. Not only is Leonardo DiCaprio easily on of the greatest actors of all time, but is one of the best people of all time. I salute him in everything he stands for and I am filled with joy that this day has finally come!

There is not a single actor or actress that has been more deserving of an Oscar that Leonardo DiCaprio in my humble opinion. He is perhaps the greatest actor of this generation and it is amazing to see him finally get what he deserves. I must admit I was brought to tears as I watched Leo address a room full of his peers as he accepted his first Oscar statue. I'm not sure who was more emotional, me or Leo! I'm glad that this day has finally come and I am so happy for Leo!
