If you're mad about the fact that [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409) is still almost nine weeks away from hitting theaters, you might want to turn your attention to Marvel Comics. There are some intriguing titles on the way between now and May, some of which are well-timed to capitalize on Marvel's movie and TV dominance.

Black Widow #1

Marvel says...

The Eisner Award-winning team of Mark Waid and Chris Samnee are taking Black Widow on the lam! Natasha has spent years gathering secrets, and when some of the darkest ones begin mysteriously going public, no one is safe.
With her betrayed former confederates at S.H.I.E.L.D. on her heels and a lifetime of training and ingenuity at her disposal, Natasha’s out for answers in a knock-down-drag-out tale of action and espionage! Hidden enemies, old friends and unusual allies collide, and all eyes are on Black Widow. The chase is on!

Buy it because... There's never a bad time for a bit of Natasha Romanova, but with Black Widow potentially acting as a double agent in Captain America: Civil War, this is the perfect opportunity to get inside her head.

Black Widow #1 is available from March 2nd, priced $3.99.

Captain America: Road to War #1

Marvel says...

Captain America and Black Widow must train the new Avengers recruits to work together as a team." Road to War is written by Will Corona Pilgrim, and features Scarlet Witch, Vision, Falcon and War Machine.

Buy it because... You just can't wait for Civil War, obviously.

Captain America: Road To War #1 is available from April 20th, priced $4.99.

Star Wars: Poe Dameron #1

Marvel says...

Poe Dameron, former Republic flyer turned Resistance fighter, is the best pilot in the galaxy. Hand-picked for the resistance by General Leia Organa to lead a squadron on a top secret and vital mission, Poe sets off investigating sites of historical importance to the Force.
Revealing backstory leading directly into The Force Awakens, follow Poe and his X-Wing squadron on covert missions against the First Order brought to you by writer Charles Soule (Star Wars: Lando, Daredevil) and artist Phil Noto (Star Wars: Chewbacca, Black Widow)!

Buy it because... Poe Dameron is officially the entire Internet's boyfriend, and The Force Awakens was seriously ungenerous when it came to his backstory. That, and it's a damn long wait until Episode 8.

Star Wars: Poe Dameron 1 is available from April 6th, priced $4.99.

The Punisher #1

Marvel says...

A by-the-numbers drug bust is about to take Frank Castle by surprise... and he HATES surprises. The horrible fallout threatens to send The Punisher into the heart of darkness, but Castle won't make that journey alone: A DEA agent is on his trail and attempting to get into his head... but what horrors will she find there, and will she survive the experience?
First-time Punisher writer Becky Cloonan and quintessential Punisher artist Steve Dillon are forcing Frank Castle out of his comfort zone and taking him to the edge of the world he thought he knew!

Buy it because... How many reasons do you need? Punisher is about to shake up Hell's Kitchen in Netflix's Daredevil Season 2, artist Becky Cloonan is the first-ever woman to write a Punisher comic, and any trip into Frank Castle's head is always a wild and bloody ride.

The Punisher #1 is available from May, priced $3.99.

Civil War II #0

Marvel says...

From the creative team that brought you House of M and Siege comes a blistering first chapter in Marvel's new explosive event. Watch as the players are introduced and the table is set for a storyline that fans will be talking about for years.

Buy it because... The first Civil War saga, which inspired the big blockbuster also due this May (if only loosely), is an all-time favorite among Marvel fanboys, and the idea that Marvel would put anything less than 100% into the sequel is crazy. Literally all of your favorite Avengers in one place? That definitely justifies the $5 price tag.

Civil War 2 #0 is available from May, priced $4.99.
