Sorry I haven't been posting lately.
I've been EXTREMELY busy with some work that I've needed to catch up on and some other projects. I've really gotten to recharge my batteries after I finished and I've been having some trouble finding good stuff to post on this website. And, I've been looking into the Creators.co website because the Moviepilot profiles will be transferred there to make improvements and it's just been a handful. But I'm back and I'll be talking about the Oscars.
Last night, a bunch of people and films won awards. I'm telling you, I'm a movie fan and if you looked at my Twitter timeline, you'd see that pretty much everyone was talking about the Oscars. And first of all, Disney/Pixar's Inside Out won the award for Best Animated Feature Film, presented by Woody and Buzz from Toy Story, celebrating their 20-year anniversary just a few months ago.
They definitely deserved the win and I loved that movie.
OK. Let me just get this straight.
From 1993 to 2014, Leonardo Dicaprio has been nominated for an Oscar five times. He just couldn't seem to get it. Everyone was laughing at this because after all the stuff he's been in, you'd think that he deserved to win an Oscar. But it never happened.
There have been countless memes and pics of what no one thought would ever happen. Here are just some of my favorites:
Even I had something to say about it.
And believe me, I don't think ANYONE saw this coming, but Leo won.
I retweeted a BUNCH of stuff from people I follow that were also watching the Oscars. Here are just a few of them.
I gotta hand it to him, I mean, after over 20 years, he's finally done it.
And also, everyone knew his speech would be insanely long. I expected him to talk about how all those memes would end. But instead, he talked about the importance of climate change and saving the planet.
