The Naked Gun actor George Kennedy has passed away at the age of 91, according to TMZ. His son reports that the last month of his life was spent in hospice care. His health had been failing him since the death of his wife Joan McCarthy last year.
Kennedy had won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 1968 for his role as Dragline in Cool Hand Luke alongside close friend Paul Newman.
His other notable roles include an officer in The Dirty Dozen, a rancher in Dallas and his final role was in 2014's The Gambler with Mark Wahlberg.
