Hello there! Now I know you may be screaming at my title right now, thinking how wrong I am, and that I am just some amateur looking for attention, but I'm really not! I actually see this as a valid option for Marvel, and I would like to give you a few reasons why before you jump to the comments section:

It's not Uncommon to Stray from the Comics

We have seen it happen in pretty much every Superhero movie in the last 15 years (if not more)! So whose to say that the Russo Brothers will have to stick so close to the Civil War comics, they already said that it is not a faithful adaptation, so none of us truly know how it will end!

RDJ may actually ran out his contract!

Way back when, Robert Downey Jr. and Marvel went through a skirmish of sorts over the fact that he only signed on to do 4 movies. After doing three Iron Man movies and the first Avengers film, he was done. Reports said there were many behind-the-scenes discussions for a couple of months and after much deliberation, RDJ finally agreed to sign on for two more movies, for a total of six movies.

I'm sure it would save Marvel a lot of Money...

We have a Swift Replacement!

When one door closes, another opens. The Spider-Man comics are the best selling Marvel comics of all-time, he is one of the most recognizable Superhero on earth (behind Superman & Batman), and is a huge key for future Avengers movies, this is arguable the best replacement for Iron Mans gap, and would be ideal as they are both in Civil War!

Iron Man is no longer the Star of the Show!

Through the period between Iron Man 3 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and then in Avengers: Age of Ultron, the films have started to give the captaincy to Stever Rogers, and he is now leading the MCU into the future, instead of Tony Stark. So as Iron Man becomes less and less in the MCU, the more it makes sense to complete his story arc with his death in Civil War.

The MCU Needs a Shake-Up!

We have seen people die then come back time and time again, and some fans are starting to get tired of it, killing Tony Stark would give the fans something new, fear. The fear of their favorite characters getting the chop in later movies, which will make each fight scene more intense, and every end battle even more scary!

Civil War needs Consequences!

Civil War should be exactly what it is, a civil war! A war will naturally have deaths, and not just the likes of Vision or War Machine, they need someone in the Core Avengers to take the fall. The Russo brothers have already stated that this film will dramatically change the MCU, meaning that the two candidates are the two leaders on their respective teams, but as the Russo Brothers also stated that the ending is unpredictable, that should rule out Caps death, so whose the only candidate left I wonder...

So in the end, these are my reasons why Iron Man's long reign may come to an end in May 2016, but thats my opinion, whats yours? Comment Below and let me know!
