Perhaps the biggest upset of this year's Oscars was Sylvester Stallone not winning Best Supporting Actor for his incredible performance in Creed, and instead the award going to Mark Rylance for Bridge Of Spies, a performance also fully deserving of the award.
The internet has gone crazy with heartbreak and support for the actor who reprized his role of Rocky Balboa last year in Creed directed by Ryan Coogler, the 7th film in the Rocky franchise.
Stallone took to Instagram today to thank his fans for all of their support after not winning the award.
"To all the "real Rocky's" of the world, Please hang on to your dreams, NEVER GIVE IN , NEVER GIVE OUT , NEVER GIVE UP! thanks for the support."
"Sorry, didn't mean for this picture to go up before saying that I'm very happy and please understand my brother is so em motional because he is just very protective and only wants the best for me. Life is good!"
Stallone was first nominated back in 1977 for his performance in Rocky, the film that skyrocketed the actor and started the most beloved sports movie franchise of all time. This was Stallone's second Oscar nomination.
