Is Ben Affleck's son the luckiest 4-year-old in the world? Quite possibly. It turns out the new Batman pulled out all of the stops for his kid's birthday party by donning the Batsuit and impressing children and parents alike.
While talking on a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, Affleck confirmed that his son was keen to see his Dad's alter ego turn up at his party. He said:
"He wanted a superhero birthday party and he wanted superheroes there, and I was like, 'Alright, what heroes do you want?' He's ticking off heroes and he was like, 'I want you to do Batman ... real Batman!”
"It Was So Mortifying"
As a result, Affleck had to call the movie studio and practically "sign my life away" in order to get permission to wear the suit away from the safety of the Batman v Superman set.
After he got permission, Affleck admitted he found the situation a little uncomfortable. He added:
“There was Wonder Woman, Captain America, Iron Man and there was me … it was so mortifying. First, I thought it's kids, it's kids! I didn't think that, of course, all their parents were there.
"So I have to put on my outfit from this movie and put on my scary face for the 4-year-olds and all their folks are there."
Check out the video clip below, which also includes a sneaky glimpse at the actor's "Bat voice." It sounds pretty darn good, I must say:
When Affleck isn't busy providing entertainment at birthday parties, he's busy trying to save the world, pitting his wits against Superman in the upcoming DC epic, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The movie is set for release on March 25th.
Whose side are you on - Batman or Superman?
