As a human race we have learned that life without music is simply a boring one. An individual needs music to get through certain days. Music has changed how we perceive everyday activities, feelings and other people. These cartoon bands have made their way into mainstream music and showed us you don't really need a face to make a difference. These are the top ten cartoon bands that changed our view of music.

5. Metalocalypse: DethKlok

Genre: Death Metal

This cartoon band started out in the Adult Swim hit TV show Metalocalypse. This band made their stamp in the metal genre and have even made it on the top 200 list at number 21. This fictional band has created actual live concerts and sold out shows for Dethklock. Music is arranged by Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha. Deathklok is teaching audiences that it doesn't matter where you start, just as long as you make it to the finish line.

4. TV Commercials: The California Raisins

Genre: Rhythm, Blues and Rock

This group of talented raisins came to family homes in the late 1980's stirring up a musical career. This group of singing claymation raisins were put into TV commercials and became an overnight success. The California Raisins version of the hit song "I Heard It From The Grapevine" spawned a huge marketing for merchandise, TV shows and an Emmy awarded Christmas special. Later the band created a mockumentary of their band and received another Emmy nomination. Is there anything these raisins can't do.

3. Claster Television: Jem and the Holograms

Genre: Rock and Pop

This 1980's band has made it's way into mainstream pop culture with the fictional cartoon band Jem and the Holograms. This cartoon band had collaborations with Hasbro, Marvel and Sunbow making this hit cartoon band a number one cartoon in the late 80's. It spawned it's own TV show, movie and albums off of the success of the pop rock genre.

2. Daft Punk: The Crescendolls

Genre: Funk, Pop, Rock, Techno, House, Disco and Synthpop

Daft Punk has changed how we view music on a huge scale as they combine many genres of music into one huge song. Their alternate characters are that of The Crescendolls. This musical anime band has been taken from their home planet to play music in the human world. Their adventure points the finger at the music industry and what it has become. Every music video tells the next chapter in the bands adventure, and the music keeps the listener thinking.

1. Gorillaz: Gorillaz

Genre: Alternative Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Electronica, Indie, Reggae, and Dub

This is the number one cartoon band due to the high amounts of genres the band experiments with. The cartoon band has given audiences great adventures through their music videos and has put an official mark on the music generation. The bands debut album itself sold over seven million albums and moved the band into the Guinness Book of Records. With great combinations of genre, and beautiful messages; Gorillaz will still be a huge cult band for years to come.
