The Exploits and Adventures of a guy who loves Pixar and Marvel on a journey to becoming an Orlando-Floridian filmmaker. You think you know what I can do? Then, you ain't seen nothing yet!

Before we get started, watch this video here...

Now let's break down what was talked about here...

First off:

No Disney Infinity 4.0

This is just Disney and Avalanche's way of saying we're just gonna cash in on everything movie coming out from the Walt Disney Studios this year and then 2017 we just close our doors. We'll be done by then. Out of ideas. They're just not gonna give a rat's behind. And instead of really going places with the concept that was established with 1.0, they're not only keeping the Disney and Pixar characters apart from the Marvel and Star Wars characters but also as I stated earlier, they're gonna give up come 2017 once they've milked this game and just not gonna do anything else anymore. Did I mention that they're supposed to release a "Peter Pan" figure somewhere down the line?

The end of Disney Infinity really makes sense seeing as to how Marvel and Star Wars do get the most attention among the Disney franchises beyond Princesses and Pixar.

What could've been...
What could've been...

What we actually got...
What we actually got...

I think we already knew about the "Zootopia" stuff when it was announced at D23, so I'm not gonna go on about that.

Up Next...

Marvel Battlegrounds

YES! If there was one thing that it had more than the abysmal 2.0 play sets it would have to be, improvement. This is also what I want to see in Disney Infinity with the not just Marvel but also Disney, Pixar and Star Wars (even though I'm not a fan of that third one there).

I will also say that it's the closest thing we can get to a play set for Disney Infinity that has the most resemblance to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Why? Well, for this I need to bring up "LEGO Marvel's Avengers".

Now, in "LEGO Marvel's Avengers", the story mode has levels based off 7 different movies (one of which is PlayStation exclusive)...

This one is the PlayStation Exclusive!
This one is the PlayStation Exclusive!

In "Disney Infinity" though, because there's no 4.0, there might never be a play set with a story mode like that. Nor may we see Red Skull, Crossbones, Yellowjacket, Quiksilver or other characters that I'll talk about later become playable characters.

Though, we are obviously going to get "Doctor Strange".

But for now and even with the addition of Black Panther, Vision, Ant-Man and Maria Hill (who will not be playable though it is awesome that they're taking cues from the MCU as opposed to the garbage animated shows on Disney XD (Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk & The Agents of SMASH and Guardians of the Galaxy. Just to clarify.)), will this end my excursion with Disney Infinity (I'll explain later) with a bang or is it just cashing in on "Captain America: Civil War"?

We'll just have to find out, March 15th...

Or should I say one of the only characters I requested that actually made it, but I digress...

As you can tell from the trailer above, this was the reason beyond popular demand that Baloo is in the game.

At least thankfully, he doesn't have the same moves as Sulley (similar to how other characters would have the exact same moves as another (i.e. Merida and Hawkeye)).

Last but half the least:

Alice through the Looking Glass & Finding Dory

If you watch the "Disney Infinity Next" video at the very end, this confirms that we WILL see a play set for both "Alice In Wonderland" (though it'll mostly be "Alice through the Looking Glass" which is what they're cashing in on plus it's like with the "Lone Ranger" play set we got 3 years ago), Finding Dory on the other hand is something that we half expected. They DID say that we'd see swimming mechanics for the characters in the game in the future. Which also makes it likely we could see Ariel as a playable character somewhere down the line but don't count on it.

UPDATE: The Disney play set is confirmed to be based on a 'Disney Animation' property. So, no 'Alice'. But I'm hoping that it'll be either "Lilo & Stitch" or "Big Hero 6" or knowing my luck it'll be "Moana" considering...

They'll also try to make either a "Star Wars Rebels" or "Star Wars: Rogue One" play set and I don't care!

Now to end things off, I need to make just a few things crystal clear...

I was with "Disney Infinity" since Day 1. Hailing it for it's concept and whatever the future held for it (despite it's problems). And I really enjoyed playing it some and thought it would be my favorite video game.

Then when 2.0 was announced, I was kinda excited. This was what got me into Marvel in the first place! If they hadn't had these characters to be playable in "Disney Infinity", I wouldn't have been a fan of Marvel to this very day.

Unfortunately, it was nowhere near as good as the first one. It was pretty much the "Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two" of "Disney Infinity".

I was waiting and hoping that a third edition would be announced and that it would fix the problems of the second one.

Which brings us to today...

All I can say about the 3.0 Edition is that compared to the 2.0 game, it's...better?...

One of my pretty big pet peeves with "Disney Infinity" as a whole is the target audience...

Kids and kids only...

I know there are plenty of adults who play this game, request all those characters and parents who play the 3 games with their kids but have you SEEN the merchandise for it from books to t-shirts? Not to mention that all the Disney and Pixar characters together (yet separated from the Marvel Super Heroes and the "Star Wars" characters) makes it all look like light fluff.

And to put it to you this way...

I'm not much of a gamer. I'm more casual at best when it comes to video games.

Not to mention that while collecting the figures can be pretty fun (in fact I have Black Widow, Hulk, Spider Man, Hulkbuster, Thor, Mike, Sulley, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and The Incredibles sitting on my TV shelf right now and an open spot for when the Captain America - The First Avenger figure is released), it can also be expensive and in some cases pointless and tiring. So, that's why I plan to go out with a bang with the Marvel Battlegrounds and Baloo.

Simply put, due to "Disney Infinity" looking more young and kiddy, I'll be retiring from "Disney Infinity" and I may try to broaden my horizons with "LEGO Dimensions" (which I hear is more open worldly than "Disney Infinity" would ever hope to be) somewhere in the near future. So, to end things off, here is my list of characters (and play sets) that I want to see in "Disney Infinity" though sadly we might not get them...

10. Bing Bong, Emperor Zurg, Frozone, Finn McMissile and Will Turner

The reason I grouped them together is because they are characters in franchises that already have playable characters in the game. Frozone, Will Turner and Bing Bong were just lost opportunities in their own rights. They clearly deserved to be in their respective play sets...but they weren't! Not to mention that Bing Bong is my absolute favorite character in "Inside Out". As for Zurg, I hear he was originally supposed to be a playable character in the game but they insultingly shut him out for Syndrome and Davy Jones. ugh... Plus he was playable in the PlayStation 3 version of the Toy Story 3 video game's Toy Box Mode AND Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure. Finn McMissile on the other hand, there's a bit more to. I would also want to see another "Cars" play set this time with the non-racing elements from the "Cars 2" video game. In all, it would make sense due to Cars 3, Toy Story 4, Pirates of the Caribbean 5 and The Incredibles 2.

9. Lilo

Not only do I want to see Lilo as a playable character but also I would much want to see a "Lilo & Stitch" play set that could have a storyline you'd expect from "Lilo & Stitch: The Series", which I LOVED when I was a kid.

8. Mike and Sulley (Monsters, Inc.)

Now, I know we already got Mike and Sulley from "Monsters University" in the game but think about it. People remember Mike and Sulley more for being in "Monsters, Inc." because the prequel didn't really get as good of reviews as the first one and Disney called it a financial failure (even though it was #1 at the Box Office for the first two weeks it was out in theaters).

7. The rest of the "Big Hero 6" team

I'm gonna go ahead and say it, "Big Hero 6" is one of my absolute FAVORITE Disney movies! Right up there with "Wreck-It Ralph" and "Bolt". Let's face it, The Incredibles, The Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy have already had their full teams playable in the game. The only reason that just Hiro and Baymax got the "Disney Infinity" treatment was because Disney was merely playing it safe after they made the "Lone Ranger" play set. A Play Set for a movie that BOMBED!

Moving On...

6. Chip and Dale + Darkwing Duck

To have these 3 in the game would make sense since Baloo was just announced to be in the game as well. Not to mention that Disney and Avalanche SERIOUSLY need to expand the Disney Infinity roster's TV category to more than just Phineas and Agent P. Plus, they forgot to add Ferb (whom I forgot to mention at #10).

5. Flik

Not only is Flik one of my favorite Pixar characters but this is also perfectly fitting because of the announcements of Ant-Man being in the game.

4. WALL-E and EVE + Carl Fredricksen and Russell

WALL-E & EVE: I just wanted to see them ever since the announcement of Vision plus the "WALL-E" video game on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 was meh. That and the PS2 version was fun but meh.

Carl and Russell: The "Up" video game was awful! 'nuff said!

3. Star Butterfly & Marco Diez + Dipper & Mabel Pines

Now, John Vignocchi and John Blackburn DID say that they would be capitalizing on all the 2016 events of The Walt Disney Company with "Disney Infinity 3.0" and the Season 2 premiere of "Star vs. the Forces of Evil" AND the "Gravity Falls" series finale are those two. Not to mention that these ARE two of my favorite cartoons airing on TV today. While Dipper and Mabel have BEEN long overdue for the "Disney Infinity" treatment, Star and Marco being in the game is the perfect opportunity for "Star vs. the Forces of Evil" to get as much popularity as "Gravity Falls".

2. Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier and War Machine

I'm just gonna tell you right now, Scarlet Witch is my FAVORITE character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe right up there with Star-Lord, Ant-Man and Black Widow.

Winter Soldier? Although my opinion on "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is as mixed for me as "Cars 2" was for Pixar fans, I may end up growing to like Bucky more in "Captain America: Civil War". Speaking of which...

Now, that ending right there got me excited and felt like a lead-in to "Captain America: Civil War" knowing that not just Vision, Falcon and Scarlet Witch would be in it but also War Machine. While I don't have much of an opinion on the character (due to not having watched "Iron Man 2" in a long time), I feel that this would be another great opportunity (like I said) to have Marvel content that bears more of a resemblance to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Oh! And by the way, while we're on the subject of Marvel, I have a couple of honorable mentions...

Falcon (Marvel Cinematic Universe version) and Black Widow (Marvel Cinematic Universe) version

Now, I enjoyed Falcon in "Ant-Man" and Black Widow (like I said) is one of my favorite characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And that's why I hope they consider re-releasing the two only for them to look more like their movie counterparts than the ones from that garbage, piece of crap show "Avengers Assemble" (soon "Avengers: Ultron Revolution").

"Looks more like the Marvel Cinematic Universe" my behind! I mean, I love "The Avengers" as much as "Gravity Falls" and "Toy Story" but COME ON!! All I'm gonna say is that I definitely agree that "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" was a far more superior show!

The only thing I can say is that he'll complete the whole "Mickey and Friends" set for the game. The addition of Daisy Duck will just be begging for a "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" play set.

Here we go people...

1. Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable

My demands for these two in "Disney Infinity" are about as high as the demands are for Pixar (mostly "Toy Story") to be included in "Kingdom Hearts".

"Kim Possible" is the Disney show that I enjoy more as an adult (Honestly, I was more into Buzz Lightyear, Stitch and Timon and Pumbaa as a kid.)

If anyone in the Disney Infinity team or Avalanche Software are reading this, this isn't to meant to be offensive or put anyone down but this is just something I put out in hopes that they can do better. Because if they stop adding characters by next year and not make a 4th installment, there won't be anything else for people to buy (unless they were sick and tired of collecting figures like I am), they won't have as many ideas with their mega pet monster of a video game franchise or other video games besides "Disney Infinity" then they'll have to lay people off and close their doors down.

This is just simply a warning for if they decide to just cash in on movies coming to theaters from the Walt Disney Studios, make so many figures that people aren't gonna want to keep on spending their money on just to complete their collection and not listen to everyone else's request (which involve TV characters) rather than picking requests out of a hat. If they read this and take the advice to consideration then maybe "Disney Infinity" can be the fully grown and complete video game franchise that the bar was set up for in the very first game.
