Over the last few months, it's been impossible to miss the mutual deep love and affection that Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet have publicly shared. Indeed, in the run-up to the Academy Awards, these two have been practically inseparable, parading around red-carpet events in a state of constant embrace, showering each other with heartfelt compliments left and right.

In fact, they've shared so many precious moments this awards season, that we even published a recap of the best times they reunited.

Yet if you were wondering whether the frenzy surrounding their close friendship would come to an end following Leo's monumental Best Actor win for The Revenant, then wonder no more. There seems to be no end in sight to this tremendous love affair. We only have to roll back to one of the most epic interviews ever to prove the transcending nature of this relationship.

In 2004, Leo appeared on Oprah, where he spoke about the Titanic role that catapulted him to superstardom. Naturally, the conversation swiftly turned to his co-star Kate and when asked about his favorite on-screen kiss to date, he was quick to reveal:

"I'm just gonna go with Kate Winslet, good old classic."

Just as a reminder, here is the incredible, Earth-shattering moment he was probably referring to:

Then, Oprah probed a little further by playing a behind-the-scenes clip from the 1997 movie, in which Winslet chats about working with Leo:

"I was like probably how all the women in this audience are, about Leonardo DiCaprio. Initially, I thought, 'Ugh, how am I gonna work with this beautiful man who's such a brilliant actor?' And I met him and he's honestly so lovely and down-to-earth and normal and so good at what he does. It was actually never about that, it was a real brother-sister thing. We were very, very close and really stuck together."

To this, lovely Leo replies:

"That's my girl. I feel the same way about her. If it wasn't for her making that film, we would have been shrapnel at this point. It was just the toughest film we ever had to make and we were partners together."

I don't know about you guys but I think we might as well all roll over and give up on life, because this is ultimate PERFECTION. Twelve years on, can these two get any more adorable?
