If you're among those who have been waiting for the release of Smothered, you've probably noticed that contrary to what was announced, it hasn't been released in February. Right, it's March already.

But this time, there will be no more year-long delays for the movie that was first mentioned in 2013: the release date for Smothered has been set to March 25 in theatres, and March 29 for DVD/VOD.

A Brand New Red Band Trailer

Still getting impatient? Until the movie comes out, you've got this red band trailer to watch. Careful: this new cut might reveal some character deaths.

What A Cast!

Smothered, which was written by John Schneider (Bo Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard), brings together a heavy cast: Kane Hodder from Friday the 13th, Bill Moseley, who started with Texas Chainsaw Massacre II and starred in House of 1000 Corpses, R. A. Mihailoff, the wrestler from Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, Don Shanks from Halloween 5, Michael Berryman, who appeared with Moseley in The Devil's Rejects, Brea Grant who starred in Heroes and Halloween 2... It must have felt like Christmas at the casting agency.

Horror Actors Face Real-Life Terror

The plot actually acknowledges the cast's "horror icons" status: at a horror convention, a group of well-known actors of the genre are offered a good fee to scare some fans. But the trailer park girl who runs the show brings a twist to the job: turns out they won't only be the actors, but also the victims of this alarming set-up.

Do you think 'Smothered' will be worth the wait?
