Is Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 the best fighting game of 2016?Potentially. Street Fighter 5 has disappointed thousands of fans, to the extent where the game is suffering a score of 3.2 on Metacritic. Seeing as this was to be the ultimate fighting game of 2016, can we already assume that it isn't going to get much better than Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4?
Well, if Naruto Storm 4 is a game that you're currently enjoying, this fighting game is about to get a whole lot better. Bandai Namco have already revealed the first DLC pack for Naruto Storm 4 and it'll get its release for the PS4, XBOX One and PC on March 11. Now that's fast service.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - New DLC Pack 'Shikamaru's Tale' Looks Awesome
When it came to comparing Street Fighter V with Naruto Storm 4, seeing as the two were released relatively close to one another, content was the main discussion point. With an awful excuse for a singleplayer campaign, limited online capabilities, no versus mode and a small amount of characters at launch, the new installment simply failed to satisfy fans who were waiting for this game for years.
Then we have Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. This game has fantastic gameplay, over 100 characters, a lengthy singleplayer campaign, great online capabilities, a complete versus mode, an additional story mode for all of us to enjoy. What more could you want from a fighting game? And now Bandai Namco are releasing additional content (even though we hate the idea of paid DLC) which looks pretty sweet. Here's what you get.
The “Shikamaru’s Tale” add-on will launch for Season Pass holders on March 8, and for everyone else on March 15 for $9.99. You'll be getting a three-hour long scenario which focuses on Shikamaru. It's based on an official book and retells the events that took place two years following the Fourth Shinobi War. Nice.
Additionally it'll feature a 'Seventh Hokage' costume for our dear Naruto, 10 costumes from previous Naruto Storm games, 10 new Ninja Info Cards, 10 New Matching Voices, a new item set, and 4 new combination ultimate techniques. Not bad for $9.99.
