Machinima's hotly anticipated series Street Fighter: Resurrection is almost upon us, and is set to rebut my conviction that no live action adaptation of the franchie will ever top 1994's camp classic.

The team behind the excellent Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist are back with a four-part miniseries that will tie in to Capcom's recently released fighting phenomenon, Street Fighter V. The official trailer has now dropped, which you can check out below:

The story centers around returning character Charlie Nash, who seems to be hell bent on revenge, for some grave slight or another. Take a look at the synopsis below:

In Resurrection, heroes Ken and Ryu are reunited to face an ominous new threat. Charlie Nash is back, and targeting legendary Street Fighter champions in a mysterious mission. After a violent confrontation with Nash, Ryu and Ken must uncover his lethal plan and find out if he is friend or foe. As events speed toward a showdown in London with the resurgent Shadaloo cartel, covert forces battle for global supremacy with the fate of the world hanging in the balance.

Speaking of the mysterious Nash, he's played by Alain Moussi who's known for his stunt work on X-Men: Days of Future Past and Suicide Squad.

More than 17 million fans tuned in for Joey Ansah's (The Bourne Ultimatum, Snow White and the Huntsman) preceeding show, Assassin's Fist. Will you join them for Resurrection?

The series will air exclusively on go90 when it launches on March 15, 2016.
