Christian Bale might have played Batman previously, but that doesn't mean he hates the most recent Batman in any way (I am of course referring to Ben Affleck). But that also doesn't mean that he's going to be unbiased, as he also really enjoys his version of Batman the most.
Bale sat down with ET and had this to say about Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice:
"Everyone brings their own element to that — Ben [Affleck] will do that as well. I think the trailers are looking great and I'm looking forward to that. But right on for Morgan [Freeman] for saying no one will ever be ['Batman Begins'], I very much like him."
Mind you, Morgan Freeman doesn't mean any disrespect to Affleck, but it is apparent that he is firmly Team Bale. I mean, the two did appear in Batman Begins together back in 2005. Freeman told ET:
"You know, I'm happy for Ben [Affleck], but I don't know how that's gonna work. Because 'The Dark Knight' was almost 'it.' Pretty much 'it. Did you see 'Batman Begins'? I don't think you can beat that."
I guess we'll have to just wait and see how Affleck compares this month, as Dawn Of Justice hits theaters on the 25th.
I think the only real way to settle this is to ask both Affleck and Bale to say, "Where's Rachel?" The one with the more gravelly, husky voice will be deemed the ultimate Batman of all time.
