Secret Cinema, who host experimental film events, have just announced they're taking on the horror genre for the first time with Danny Boyle's 2002 film, 28 Days Later.

Set in a post-apocolyptic London, it follows Jim (played by Cillian Murphy) as he, and a group of people, try to survive a zombie-like virus that has spread across the UK.

Talking about the event, 28 Days Later producer Andrew Macdonald, said:

Secret Cinema never fails to amaze with their experiences, and it’s exciting to see them tackle their first ever horror. London prepare.

28 Days Later was extremely successful when released, earning more than $82 million worldwide. As well as spawning a sequel, it revamped the zombie/post apocolyptic genre.

The event will run from 14th April-29th May 2016. Tickets are on sale from 1pm on 3rd March and can be bought here.
