So, let's talk about how Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor are basically the best.

When we first found out the couple were dating late last year, all our shipping dreams were realized. Then we discovered how beautiful and actually nice to each other they are and our hearts melted into glitter coated puddles of happiness.

Just look:

The list goes on and you can swoon over it here.

Anyway, in a recent conversation with the New York Times Paulson (41) has opened up about how 'surreal' the reaction to her relationship with Holland Taylor (73) has felt.

The American Horror Story star and now American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson actress revealed that the pair have actually been dating for around a year now. Describing Taylor as "probably the most exquisitely beautiful woman I'd ever seen," their paths continued to cross after first meeting a decade ago. Then she dropped this awesome statement,

"If my life choices had to be predicated based on what was expected of me from a community on either side, that's going to make me feel really straitjacketed, and I don't want to feel that. What I can say absolutely is that I am in love, and that person happens to be Holland Taylor."

Aww, you guys!

Paulson also opened up about her tendency to date older partners – her last relationship was with Cherry Jones, 18 years her senior – commenting,

"I had a complicated home life, and my teachers, predominantly my theater teachers and my English teachers, were very dedicated to taking care of me in a particular way. And in doing so, I think I developed a very easy rapport with people older than myself."
"There's a poignancy to being with someone older. I think there's a greater appreciation of time and what you have together and what's important, and it can make the little things seem very small. It puts a kind of sharp light mixed with a sort of diffused light on something. I can't say it any other way than there's a poignancy to it, and a heightened sense of time and the value of time."

Is Sarah Paulson your favorite in 'American Horror Story'?
