So the trailer to Ghostbusters has finally been released. Take a gander.

Now that you've seen it. Here are a few things that caught my eye right off the bat.

They start the trailer by informing the younger viewers of the events that occurred 30 years prior.

Now, this is where it gets interesting. They indicate that a new team will now answer the call. This would suggest that you are looking at a continuation of the previous movies. So it's not a reboot, right?

We see them in a very similar situation to the one the original characters were in. A library with a floating lady they felt didn't look too dangerous at all.

Until they get too close, and find out she is not.

The similarities are a little hard to miss. Specially if you are a big fan of the original.

Here is where it gets a little contradictory. The first glimpse at the Ecto-1. The same license plate as the original movie and the same car design. This tells us that it's a reboot of the original, even though they stated at the beginning of the trailer that this is a new team after the first scientist saved New York City. Could we be seeing how the original cast get added to the movie? Seeing that it's the same license plate, they might be getting some advise and assistance from the original Ghostbusters.

Standing in front of Ecto-1 is what it seems to be part of the third act of the movie. The bag they are carrying bringing must be the trap that they were experimenting on.

We get a glimpse of Chris Hemsworth playing the role of Kevin. They also add a little twist to the storyline by saying that the ghost can now posses people.

Now here it is. The cameo everyone has been looking for, Slimer.

They made sure they didn't add any of the original cast into this trailer, and focused it all on the new team. Slimer on the other hand is a fan favorite and adding him to the trailer would be a given.

Proton packs are better looking than the previous, and we see the scale the movie is trying to establish.

I honestly hope that this Pumpkin King wannabe isn't what replaces the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man.

Proton pack upgrades are one of the things that I am looking forward to the most in this movie. Making the packs more modern is going to be a cool sight, but double wielding proton pistols are epic.

Don't cross the streams! How this upgraded version of the original movie is going to stand up to the original is going to be a big topic of discussion up until, and past its release.

New and improved logo and them song. In my opinion, the theme song was pretty catchy.

I'm truly looking forward to this movie, but we now know that it's a reboot of the original. The original cast will be making cameos throughout this movie, which will give it the feel of a connected universe, but at the same time, the similarities to the original are to hard to miss to not consider it a reboot.
