After the incredible success of Deadpool, we are seeing a bit of a superhero film revolution in the making. It has already been confirmed that Fox will be releasing an R-Rated Wolverine film and a R-rated cut of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will be coming to home video in the future. So does this mean that every superhero film that comes out is going to be rated R right? Not so fast, if Disney has anything to do with it!
Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that there are no R-rated Marvel films planned for the future!
Don't Expect Any R-rated Avenger Films Anytime Soon!
Dead pool has studios scrambling to keep up with the latest trend, and the most recent one being a raunchy, R-rates, adult superhero film. What they don't seem to realize is that these films don't need to be rated R. It was necessary for Deadpool to get that rating because it fits that character, but does Batman V Superman really need it? I'm ver happy that Disney is going against this trend, even though their Netflix series contain strong adult content, that aren't their big name family films. It is unfortunate that we won't be seeing a Punisher film anytime soon, that would be "bloody" epic!
