While Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is focused predominantly on Batman, Superman and Lex Luthor, the other Justice League member with a major role is Wonder Woman.
But Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) isn't a helpless piece of eye candy just standing there while the battle rages on around her; she is a badass who has no problem hopping right into the fracas and getting her hands dirty.
Speaking to EW about a climactic scene in which Wonder Woman combats Luthor's monster creation Doomsday, Geoff Johns, CCO at DC Entertainment and BvS executive producer, describes Wonder Woman's "bring it" face:
“I love her in the movie. I love when she’s hit by Doomsday and she turns around and smiles, like she hasn’t been in a fight like this in a long, long time. She clearly… she missed it.
“Most of the movies, the men are in charge, the men are the most powerful ones. You’ve had Superman and Batman and everyone, but Wonder Woman was never there,” says the actress, whose daughter is 4. That’s probably too young to see the film now. But someday… “I’m so happy when she grows up she’s going to see a female figure she can be inspired by."
I couldn't have said it better myself. Gal, thanks for being that woman we can all look up to.
