Earlier today, EW hinted at the scenes of Batman being Superman's hostage, killing people and fighting parademons (that escalated quickly) being Flash's visions.
I wrote about that piece of information and explained why the Flash having those visions made sense. And now, Zack Snyder has confirmed these glimpses are CAUSED by The Flash.
Entertainment Weekly reports the film is "laced with dream sequences from both Batman and Superman". During one of these nightmares, The Flash finally presents himself to Bruce Wayne.
But Snyder is leaving it to fans to debate whether or not it was just a dream or the speedster using his abilities to deliver a message.
Snyder calls this “a giant Easter egg” that he hopes will create plenty of online theories.
“We had such a straightforward narrative, on one hand, I wanted this other layer of the movie to be complicated and bizarre.”
While the director is trying to give the story a veil of mystery, we all know Flash is definitely the one giving the two superheroes their visions.
The question this new piece of information raises is how the Flash is able to enter or create dreams, since that hasn't been one of his powers so far.
I suppose we'll find out on March 25th.
What do you think of Flash's scene? Are you satisfied with it or would you have preferred something more for everyone's favorite scarlet speedster?
