The Emmy award-winning Big Bang actress Kaley Cuoco graces the cover of the April issue of Cosmopolitan and in the interview with the magazine, Cuoco makes a definitive statement about her views on feminism:
“Of course I’m a f*cking feminist. Look at me. I bleed feminism. I get equal pay to my male costars on a big show, I have my own home, I’m as independent as you could possibly be.”
Her feminist fans are no doubt happy to hear it, after a 2014 interview with Redbook Mag left a very different impression. When that interviewer asked if she considered herself a feminist, she responded,
"Is it bad if I say no? It's not really something I think about. Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around... I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that's because I've never really faced inequality."
At the time of the interview, she was married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting. She described their relationship like this:
I cook for Ryan five nights a week: It makes me feel like a housewife; I love that. I know it sounds old-fashioned, but I like the idea of women taking care of their men. I'm so in control of my work that I like coming home and serving him. My mom was like that, so I think it kind of rubbed off."
Although her marriage with Ryan Sweeting has since ended, the 30-year-old actress says she's not ready to find someone else right away. And why should she? Her career is on fire, as she and cast mate Jim Parsons (Sheldon) have both said they'd be willing to do an 11th season of The Big Bang Theory, now in season 9.
