Let's define what being a bada** really means, shall we! The simple answer, when characters make you think on multiple occasions, that was SO bada**! There are always exceptions to the rules and there might be one or two characters on this list that fits that description. What a post-credit scene this would be (photo up above), 'It's time to put a little magic in that justice! (Constantine walks on the stage)'
Without any further lame jokes, here's the list of the ten most badass superheroes in Marvel/DC, enjoy! (The list is in no particular order and I excluded the X-Men Universe, with one exception)
This would not be this list, if Batman was not on here, brooding the night away! In the upcoming Batman v Superman, he's going to teach Superman what's it means to be a man (WTF). He does so many incredible things, but his sheer audacity in this movie springs him into a whole another level of badassery. If I could go into hibernation and awake on March 25th, I would (Was that too extreme? Maybe)!
So, what did Gamora do to be honored on this extremely classy list, besides being one of the greatest fighters in the galaxy? Her adopted father is Thanos and she's directly defying him when she tries to sell the orb to The Collector. If that doesn't make you think she's the epitome of what's this list is about, then I don't know what will.
Your boss was just shot up horrifically and the people you work for are hunting you, like you're in a Tommy Lee Jones movie. Yet, Captain America stood up to S.H.I.E.L.D and exposed them as Hydra, so the world would know that they've been duped. That's amazing that he just took on one of the most powerful agencies in the world and won! (Oh yeah, he didn't do it alone either)
This choice might be unpopular, due to the destruction in Man of Steel. But you must remember that he was fighting another god and all of the promotional materials from Batman v Superman is pointing to him understanding the ramifications of his actions (he feels guilty).
What makes him so badass is the fact that he could kill Batman and he doesn't. This is why I love Superman, he's one of the most powerful figures in all of comics and yet he strives to be the better man.
He had to kill Zod in MoS, but the thing that bothers me the most in that movie was he's the reason Zod came to Earth, because of him flying the Genesis Chamber in the movie. I really wished that the writers would have came up with something else, so all the death in Metropolis would have not been his fault.
Do I really need to explain why she's on this list (not really)? She was right by Cap's side in the events of The Winter Soldier, and I would not be the one to give Hulk his lullaby. I think one of her greatest moments was during Age of Ultron, she's the reason why Tony could redeem himself by creating Vision. By releasing his body to Hawkeye in the rear, Natasha made sure that Ultron wouldn't be able to be beautiful. I might be a little biased towards Stark because The Winter Soldier is one of my favorite movies of all time.
Star-Lord saved Xandar by gaining Ronan's attention with a dance-off! These Guardians of the Galaxy are fearless individuals when it comes to peeving off bad guys. Another honorable mention for Peter Quill is when he went back for his Walkman. Some would argue that it was stupid, but I think it was necessary to ensure his place on this list.
She's had one line in the trailer and they barely show her in action, so why is she on this list? Because it was one hell of a line and it's what she represents in her live-action big screen debut.
She's part of the DC's Trinity and she's a humanitarian warrior that Gal Gadot's been cast to capture in this upcoming film. You cast diverse people (there's more reasons then this also), so that you can tell a story that can reach everyone. To be honest, this might just be the exception I was taking about.
Or, in the BvS trailer when she saved Batman from being annihilated, that was pretty awesome! (Why didn't Supes jump in front of Batman, did he see Diana and think she was going to save him?)
I know, earlier I wrote that I was biased towards this Armored Avenger, but he saved New York from a nuclear missile by putting it into a conduit into space and blowing up the Chitauri's ship. That is amazing and I would have had to write in my own comment section, that this article sucked because I left out Tony Stark!
Let's see, Captain America needs your help to stop Hydra and at the same time becoming besties and an Avenger! Sam Wilson also might be the next Captain America depending on the events of the upcoming movie. So, I think he checked all the boxes regarding his place on this list!
Wait, Deadpool is not a hero, he said so in his movie. (Spoilers) When he fought Colossus and broke almost every bone in his body and then he cut off his own hand to escape going to the X-Mansion; he most certainly earns a place on this list. I wouldn't feel right if I left Mr.Pool of this list!
Everybody has different opinion regarding what's awesome and what's not in this world. This was list a to celebrate what I construed as badass in these universes and if you disagree, I completely understand!
