At the best of times, the WWE is a crazy place where anything can happen. Sometimes, however, the best drama is behind the curtain. These are some of the most insane urban legends in WWE history to prove it.

Sunny Days

Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels' history is well told in WWE lore, the Montreal Screwjob being the single most (in)famous shoot angle in wrestling history. There was another event though, that really poured gasoline on the fire. When Bret was in his prime as the face of the company, Sunny was the biggest female star the promotion had ever seen. Naturally, rumours of an extracurricular relationship began to surface. Never one to shy away from controversy, Michaels stirred the pot during a promo which apparently led to a legitimate backstage brawl between the two.

Sid Vicious' Squirrel

Wrestlers have a lot of time to kill when they're on the road. For reasons unknown, Sycho Sid used to bring a squirrel with him to events. Ever on the lookout for a bit of entertainment, several of his colleagues dared him to put the squirrel into his pants for 1 minute. Sid obliged, and halfway through the dare the squirrel did what everyone knew it was going to do. Sid was rushed to the emergency room for emergency surgery. Of course he was.

The King's Crown

Rumour has it, when Jerry Lawler arrived in WWE his attitude was less than stellar. He appeared arrogant, entitled and stuck up. As you'd expect, this didn't go down well with the rest of the locker room. So much so, that The Kliq (backstage faction consisting of Shawn Michaels, X-Pac, Triple H, Scott Hall & Kevin Nash) came up with the idea to bring Lawler down a peg or two by defecating on his crown. Yes, really.

Girls, Girls, Girls

Back at Wrestlemania 11, Shawn Michaels & Diesel were escorted to the ring by Jenny McCarthy & Pamela Anderson, respectively. According to legend, Shawn (at the height of his 'idiot' phase) was hitting on Anderson repeatedly all day (who can blame him, really?). This, of course, didn't go down well with Anderson's boyfriend at the time, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. This reportedly led to a fight between the two backstage. Some rumours go even deeper, to the point that some people have claimed that something was actually going on between Anderson and Michaels.

Hogan's Black Eye

Way back at Wrestlemania IX, Hulk Hogan had two matches. When he came out for the first, he had one hell of a black eye. Legend says that the shiner came at the hands of Macho Man Randy Savage. Savage was allegedly confronting Hogan backstage because he thought Hogan was the cause of his recent divorce from Miss Elizabeth. Randy apparently then punched him in the face.

Sycho Sid Soils Himself

Wrestlemania 13 was average at best. If not for Austin/Hart it would've possible been the worst 'Mania of all time. The main event was Sycho Sid Vs. Undertaker for the WWE Championship. While the match itself wasn't exactly groundbreaking, thankfully Sid was there to save the day by soiling himself halfway through the main event of the biggest show of the year. Happy days.

Randy Savage & Stephanie McMahon

This is the big one. Anyone and everyone who knows anything about professional wrestling has heard the rumours that Macho Man Randy Savage and the boss's daughter, Stephanie McMahon, were lovers. That might not sound like a big deal, but rumour has it that Stephanie was 14 years old at the time. You only need to look as far as Hulk Hogan to see that Vince McMahon can forgive almost any sin in the name of good business. Macho Man, however, was the only major name to not make it back to WWE after he left in 1994. At least not until his posthumous Hall Of Fame induction in 2015. He must've done something REALLY bad for Vince to hold a grudge for 21 years...
