Come for the sun, stay for the slaughter. The definitive zombie experience is making the next-gen crossover this spring. Dead Island is getting the full remaster treatment with the release of Dead Island: Definitive Edition.
With Dead Island 2 still deep in development those of you hankering for a zombie or two to dismember may find this news rather exciting. Techland have remastered the original Dead Island experience and are making it available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
The definitive edition will include both the original Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide. Both games will be remastered and restructured to allow for seamless next generation integration. The classic tropical choppers will also release with all the previous downloadable content already installed. Techland has even included the fan favorite mod – Power Fists.
This epic skull smashing, limb tearing, bone crunching, zombie stomper will certainly provide a more than adequate substitute for those of you tired of Dying Light and will certainly up the anticipation levels for the upcoming Dead Island 2.
The definitive edition will also come with a slightly less gruesome retro game called Dead Island Retro Revenge; a pixel-centric side scrolling beat down game.
'The Definitive Edition' comes out May 31 and will be on Xbox One. PS4 and PC.
